Course Content

The HNC Administration and Information Technology program is tailored to address the needs of today’s dynamic business environment, providing you with a strong foundation for a successful career in business administration.

Throughout the course, you will explore a broad spectrum of subjects, including MS Office applications like word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and PowerPoint. Additional units cover areas such as recording financial transactions, business communication, office administration, and digital technologies relevant to administrative roles.


Entry Requirements

Two SQA Higher passes are desirable (one of which should be English); SVQ Level 2 (with educational reference and evidence of IT/communications skills to be demonstrated); or SVQ Level 3 Administration. Entry is subject to a selection process, which will assess suitability in terms of academic qualifications; however, every candidate will be considered on an individual basis, taking into account work and life experience.

Method of Assessment

Continual assessment with an end of year graded unit exam.
