Course Content

This course consist of 3 mandatory units:

  • Providing Customer Service
  • Working as Part of a Team
  • Developing Meta-skills and Personal Practice

A further 5 optional units can be chosen from a extensive list of units reflecting the wide range of Customer Service job roles.

This Diploma is suitable for:

  • individuals who are currently in employment and who wish to obtain a formal qualification or a qualification as part of an apprenticeship programme
  • employees who wish to complete short continuing professional development courses


Entry Requirements

No prior qualifications or knowledge are required to undertake this qualification.

Method of Assessment

Assessment is continual using e-portfolio and is carried out in the workplace. This minimises any time learners need to be away from their work. 

Future Prospects

The level 5 award could provide progression to:

  • an Award, Certificate or Diploma in Providing Customer Services at SCQF level 6 or in a related sector
  • employment in the services sector, perhaps as a customer service representative
