Advanced Certificate in Health, Social Care & Nursing

Course Content

This course includes a range of Level 6 subjects relevant to careers in health and social care.

 

Learners will have an opportunity to study various subjects, including Human Development, Care Values and Principles, Social Influences, Mental Health and the Human Body.

 

Successful completion of this course will allow learners to go on to study at HNC level.

Entry Requirements

Entry requirements are: four National 5s in academic subjects at C pass or above, or equivalent (to include English).

 

Selection will be made based on a satisfactory personal statement, qualifications, and written exercise.

Applications will be reviewed on an individual basis.

Method of Assessment

Assignments may include class activities, written reports and essays, case studies, presentations, and project-based assessments.

Future Prospects

Completion of all units, a good attendance record, and a positive reference may allow learners to progress to HNC Social Services, HNC Healthcare Practice or into employment.
