Course Content
Different versions of this training are available depending on your requirements; this includes:

The course duration required will depend on the level of prior experience (see Entry Criteria below).
The training course consists of both theory and practical sessions. Successful candidates will receive a certificate of competence and a LANTRA Skills ID Card.
Course sessions include:
- Lift Truck Safety and the Law
- Common Areas of Maintenance and Pre-start Checks
- Start, Stop and Basic Manoeuvring
- Operating with Pallets and Loads
- Bulk and Difficult Loads
- Rough Terrain Use
- Appendices (as relevant)
- Theory Assessment
- Practical Assessment
Entry Requirements
This is the two-day version of the course, which is aimed at individuals who have some prior experience or are frequent operators. Please contact us to discuss if your level of experience varies from this.
Candidates must bring their own PPE – boots, coveralls, gloves, hard hats, ear defenders, hi-viz jackets or vests.
** This training is carried out at the customer's site with the customer's own telescopic handler. The college does not own a telescopic handler for training. An assessment of the equipment and the area for training may need to be conducted to ensure appropriateness and adequate health and safety provision prior to commencement of training.**
