Course Content

This Vocationally Related Qualification (VRQ) is designed for practising or aspiring managers and leaders accountable to a senior manager or business owner. It develops the skills needed to lead teams and deliver objectives aligned with organisational strategy.


Key responsibilities may include developing teams, creating operational plans, managing projects, change, finance, and resources, driving innovation, ensuring quality and continuous improvement, and overseeing HR functions.


The qualification is suited to managers in roles such as Operations, Divisional, Departmental, Regional, or Specialist management.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements; however, applicants are expected to be working in, or progressing towards, a management role at junior or middle management level. Alternatively, you could be drawing on previous experience within an organisation you are familiar with.

Method of Assessment

Fortnightly online workshops are delivered with tutor support and accompanying self-study resources. For each unit, candidates are required to complete one assessed piece of work. This work is developed progressively after each workshop and contributes to the final submission for the unit.

Future Prospects

Candidates can progress to the Level 5 Certificate and/or Diploma.
