BA (Hons) Esports and Creative Industries (Level 6 Top Up)

Course Content

This degree provides key skills for the esports industry, with a focus on strategic management, creative design and online audience engagement. You’ll also develop industry‑ready skills in broadcasting, live production, content creation and sound engineering while working in our professional‑grade production environment. The course culminates in a research dissertation in which you will design and carry out an innovative project in esports.

The course is timetabled over 3 days per week, providing 16 hours of class contact and directed study.

Entry Requirements

This is a top‑up degree with several entry routes.

You can apply if you have:

A Foundation Degree in Esports (Year 2 completed) with all 240 credits achieved,

or

An HND in a related subject - such as Business, Marketing, Events, Sound Production, Computing and Creative Media, Games Development, Software, Art & Design, Media or Film - with a grade B or above,

or

240 credits from years 1 and 2 of a relevant degree programme.

Method of Assessment

Each module is assessed through a variety of practical and academic tasks. These may include:
