PA6A - Safe Application of Pesticides using Pedestrian Hand Held Equipment

Course Content

The course consists of a single day of training for the qualification, followed by a practical assessment which normally takes place the week following the practical training.

Training covers:

  • Know the legislative and safety regulations relating to applicator use
  • Be able to assess the environmental factors relating to mixing and application
  • Be able to read and interpret product information
  • Be able to prepare and calibrate a hand-held pedestrian applicator
  • Be able to operate the application equipment
  • Know how to carry out post-operational procedures

Entry Requirements

Learners must have achieved PA1 - Principles of Safe Handling and Application of Pesticides before assessment of PA6A can take place.
