D&A College Principal Grant Ritchie was in great demand with The Voice of Business when was speaker at not one but two CBI events on Thursday, April 28.

Firstly, the principal welcomed more than 30 people to a lunchtime seminar event at Gardyne Campus, entitled Future of Technology and Digital.

Hugh Aitken, CBE, director CBI Scotland, and Mike Walker, chief economic advisor at the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) were both giving presentations.

Later that same day, Principal Ritchie addressed the CBI Scotland Dinner in the city’s Apex Hotel.

“Staff at D&A College understand our primary task is to ensure the right skills are available to help companies in our region compete effectively and flourish,” said the principal.

“To achieve this we talk to employers about how to fill skills gaps and we make sure that programmes are adjusted accordingly.

“Skills in technology along with digital skills are critical in ensuring our young people are resourceful and independent and are prepared for the modern workplace.”
