How the College is ‘beefing up’ its response to COVID-19

These past few months have been incredibly difficult for most of us, in particular young people who are facing an uncertain future.

But our Landbased team at Dundee and Angus College are more than up for the challenge.

Starting this Friday 30th October, young rural entrepreneur, Jodie Jackson is set to tell her ‘Beef Box Company’ success story to our secondary school Agricultural students from schools in Angus and the Mearns.

Jodie is one of a series of rural entrepreneurs who’ve been lined up by lecturer, Peter Beattie to inspire our Landbased students. Subjects range from goat farming to soft fruit marketing.

“I want to show the students that with some innovative thinking and hard work there are still some real opportunities out there in the rural economy."

Even better, Jodie will be able to take orders for her delicious produce this Friday, 30th October from 10.30 am in the CSW/Minibus car park at the College’s Arbroath campus.
