Find Your Future: in the Countryside

Are you 16 to 19 years old and live in Dundee or Angus? Unemployed and not in education or training? Are you interested in working in the countryside?

This April we will be running a 14-week course which will give a real flavour of working outdoors.

It will cover rural estate maintenance, hard and soft landscaping, horticultural machinery, tractor driving and general health & safety. You’ll be working on a live re-development project with Strathmore Estates while getting access to sports facilities, outward-bound activities and developing employability skills.

On successful completion of the programme you will be guaranteed a college interview should you wish to progress onto a higher level course.

If you’re struggling to move forward in your life, are a single parent, carer or have been in care yourself this could be the first step to developing real skills towards an exciting future.

Lunches and travel expenses will be provided and there will be one-to-one mentoring support during and after the course.
You may also be eligible for additional financial support.
