D&A Update 24 February 2021

The publication of the Scottish Government strategic framework out of lockdown for Scotland and the recent positive news around vaccination rollout and its impacts are welcomed by D&A College as a very positive step.

We are now finalising arrangements for limited on campus activity, which has been carefully prioritised and planned over the past few weeks. This prioritised activity will still be limited in nature and in line with Scottish Government guidance. It is planned that initial high priority activity will commence in discussion with teams, staff and unions from 8 March 2021. We will liaise with our stakeholders accordingly as this process progresses.

Whilst this is really good news overall, we are very mindful of the need to follow all guidance and strictly adhere to all of the required COVID mitigations and risk assessment requirements. We are, as ever, working hard to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of our community at all stages. We look forward to welcoming students back onto campus in the coming weeks safely and carefully.

The strategic framework outlines timescales for further reopening of society, and we will continue to provide further updates on changes and developments in activity and services over the coming weeks.
