Entry Requirements

For international applications we require a good pass in a Higher School Leaving Certificate from your own country or International Qualifications such as Cambridge International certificates or International Baccalaureat

Applicants should check the subject-specific pages for any other grade and subject entry requirements.

English requirements

All international applicants will be asked to demonstrate a level of English language proficiency, regardless of their nationality or country of residence. You must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language to a certain level to get the most out of your time with us. We accept a wide range of international English qualifications and certification such as IELTS.

If you are applying for a Student Visa, you will need to meet the English language requirement as set out by the UKVI. Your English language qualification must be taken with and issued from an approved provider and must be no more than two years old from the date of your visa application.

NC/NQ/HNC/HND
Applicants must have an IELTS or equivalent with minimum score of 5.5 or above (with no categories lower than 5.5).

Qualifications requirements

It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure any academic certificates are translated into English.

Portfolio requirements

There are a number of courses that may require applicants to submit a portfolio, some of which include:

  • Fast Track to Art & Design
  • Portfolio Preparation Programme
  • Art and Design
  • Architecture and Interior Design
  • Computer Arts and Design
  • Photography
  • Textiles for Fashion and Interiors
  • 3D Design: Product and Interior Design
  • Contemporary Art Practice

Your portfolio could be examples of sketchbook ideas, any drawings, paintings and items which have been made by hand or digitally. Subject and course-specific pages on the website will give additional information on portfolio requirements
