SVQ Level 3 Design and Draughting
Course Content
This is a work-based qualification used to assess the competence and knowledge and understanding of apprentices, technicians and employees working within the design and draughting discipline in a variety of engineering sectors and craft areas. These areas include structural steelwork; piping; structural pipework; electrical; and instrumentation.

Entry Requirements
Applicants must be employed as either an apprentice, technician or current designer/draughtsperson within the engineering sector and be supported by their employer to pursue the qualification.
Method of Assessment
Work-based observations by specialist college assessors and compilation of a portfolio of evidence.
Future Prospects
Work as a qualified and competent designer/draughtsperson within a wide variety of engineering sectors.
