Engineering Training SVQ Level 2
This practical and hands-on course covers various engineering processes and techniques plus supporting theory including health & safety and core skills in literacy, numeracy, IT and team working.
Progression from Gateway to Trade Skills Engineering. Four National 4 passes with consideration given on an individual basis to those with relevant experience. The selection process comprises of an interview and an exercise demonstrating written and practical skills.
Method of Assessment
A mixture of closed-book individual assessments, reports, practical work (both individual and group) as appropriate to the module.
Progression to NC Engineering. This forms the first step of the Modern Apprenticeship (MA) and MA opportunities within these sectors are also available if learners can secure employment with an appropriate employer.
