Princes Trust Personal Development Programme (Team 112)
A 12-week personal development course where candidates aged 16-25 have opportunities to develop abilities in Leadership, Caring for Others, Motivation, Tolerance, Confidence, and Taking Responsibility. Team members participate in a 2-week work placement, a week long outward bound/team building residential trip, community and environmental projects and a final team challenge. They are also given the opportunity for 1 day courses such as First Aid; Health & Safety; and Food Hygiene. Team members will also undertake a Communication qualification.
Entry may be through direct application or referral from internal or external partner agencies. All applicants will be interviewed and may be required to undergo a Disclosure Scotland check as the programme includes a placement element.
Method of Assessment
Assessment is continuously carried out through creation of a portfolio of evidence containing examples of activities undertaken by the team members.
The Prince's Trust programme works closely with local employers and internal/external partners to support young people into employment, training or education.
