Princes Trust Personal Development Programme (Team 112)
During this 12-week personal development programme, learners aged 16-25 are given the opportunity to develop abilities in leadership, caring for others, motivation, tolerance, confidence and taking responsibility. Learners participate in a 2-week work placement, a week long outward bound/team building residential trip, community and environmental projects and a final team challenge. Learners are also given the opportunity to do 1 day courses in First Aid, Health & Safety and Food Hygiene plus undertake a qualification in Communication. This course is aimed at young people aged 16 - 25. Priority will be given to people leaving care, young offenders, educational underachievers and the long term unemployed.
There are no formal entry requirements for this course. Entry may be through direct application or referral from internal or external partner agencies. All applicants will be interviewed and may be required to undergo a PVG check as the programme includes a placement element.
Method of Assessment
Assessment is continuously carried out through creation of a portfolio of evidence containing examples of activities undertaken by the team members.
The Prince's Trust programme works closely with local employers and internal/external partners to support young people into employment, training or education.
