Course Content

The course covers an Introduction into Joinery; Bricklaying; Painting and Decorating; Plastering; Roofing; Stonemasonry; External Cement Work; Understanding Industry; and Personal Development.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for the course, however, all applicants will be interviewed and must be able to demonstrate commitment and motivation. This may include an element of online learning.

 

All applicants will require a satisfactory interview which may include a diagnostic test.

Method of Assessment

Continuous assessment, practical based assessments and end of unit tests/assessments.  

Future Prospects

Successful completion of the course will enhance employment opportunities in the construction industry and will allow progression to a SCQF level 5 craft or technology course.
