NPA Award in Construction: Bricklaying
Course Content
This nationally recognised course covers: Half Brick Walling; One Brick Walling; Cavity Walling; Arch Construction; Construction Safety; and Employment Behavioural Skills. This will also include core skills in Communication, ICT and Construction Numeracy.
Entry Requirements
Successful completion of Building Trades Fast Track, Senior Phase Construction Crafts or Gateway to Trade Skills (Construction) course, or two passes at National 4 (or equivalent) preferably in English and Maths.
All applicants will require a satisfactory interview which may include a diagnostic test.
Method of Assessment
Practical assessments and theoretical knowledge-based assessments.
Future Prospects
Successful completion of the course can lead to apprenticeships in bricklaying or further education (NC Built Environment/Construction related courses).
