Introduction to Animal Care
This course introduces anatomy and first aid as well as practical care for small animals. The course offers an insight into broader animal care including horses, rodents and wildlife through a genuine mixture of activities and topics.
Successful two-part interview - demonstrating reading, writing and numeracy skills followed by practical tasks in small animal handling. Satisfactory academic and attendance references. Applicants will be required to work with a wide variety of small animals (including rodents, reptiles and birds). Successful applicants will be selected based on interview performance and academic references
Method of Assessment
This course is a mixture of written and practical assessments in addition to some short assignments.
Successful learners may wish to apply to progress onto NC Animal Care.
