Course Content

This course is highly practical, but with a theoretical element. Subjects covered on this course include fencing, plant production from seed, drystone walling, tree and shrub planting, pesticide application, chainsaw maintenance and use, tractor operations.

Entry Requirements

Successful completion of NC Horticulture/Estates level 4 or ability to work at level 5 course units.

Method of Assessment

The course is continually assessed throughout the year and is a mixture of theoretical and practical subjects.

Future Prospects

Diploma in Horticulture Level 6 or HNC Horticulture.
