NC Electrical Engineering
This course offers learners a broad study of electrical engineering, which will include academic study and some practical workshop activities. Learners will be given the chance to develop and understand the fundamental electrical engineering principles allowing them to progress into further education or employment.
Three National 5 subjects (or equivalent) at graded C or above, this must include Maths, Physics or a Technology based subject. Industrial experience and other relevant qualifications will be considered. Completion of Pre-Apprentice Electrical Skills course including Maths Craft 1. Applicants will also be required to attend an interview.
Method of Assessment
A variety of methods will be used including practical and theory-based assessments.
Progression onto HNC Electrical Engineering or into employment within the electrical industry as an apprentice electrician.
