NC Acting and Performance
This dynamic and engaging course allows learners to develop their interest in acting, theatre and performance in a highly practical way. Areas of study include: Acting, Voice, Movement, Devising and working with text. Learners have a number of sharing and performance opportunities throughout the course, which provide an excellent grounding in acting and theatre-making.
Additional opportunities through the year include: theatre trips and collaborative projects across the performing arts, as well as visits from industry professionals.
You will develop key skills that are transferable to work in a wide field of theatre and performance settings.
No set entry qualifications, selection is through observation of participation in a practical group workshop, individual performance of one monologue (devised or text) and an interview with one of our staff team.
Method of Assessment
Combination of practical classwork, performance and written assignments.
Learners may go on to further study within the department at HNC or HND level.
