NC Engineering Mechanical
This course is suitable for learners who wish to develop their skills and knowledge to progress their career within a range of engineering sectors including aviation; defence; medical engineering; manufacturing; and the automotive industry. Subjects covered include Maths; Communications; Dynamics; Thermofluids; Computer Aided Draughting; Materials; Pneumatics and Hydraulics.
Four National 5 passes at C grade or above including Mathematics, Physics and ideally Engineering, Science or Technical Drawing. Mature applicants without formal qualifications may be considered based on practical experience.
Method of Assessment
A mixture of closed book individual assessments, reports, practical work (both individual and group) as appropriate to the module.
Progression onto HNC Mechanical Engineering or employment opportunities in the engineering/renewable/energy industries.
