National 5 Mathematics
National 5 Mathematics is a flexible course with a choice of delivery methods to suit you. The course will be delivered in our Gardyne Campus each week, one night per week from 6pm - 9pm. You can also join this class online or work independently as a distance learner.
You will have access to all the materials regardless of study method and there will be weekly check tests for everyone to monitor progress. You will be expected to be on campus for unit assessments and prelims.
This course covers many different topics including algebraic operations, indices, surds, trigonometry, quadratics and functions.

Method of Assessment
Three closed book unit tests over the course of the year and a prelim that will take place in February. Learners must achieve a satisfactory mark in the prelim exam to sit the final exam.
Required for all primary and secondary teaching courses, many Engineering courses and some Social Work courses. Also sought after by employers and Higher Education institutions.
