Motor Vehicle Engineering Level 2
This course covers topics such as vehicle-servicing; engines; chassis; steering; suspension; brakes; wheels; tyres; and electrical systems. Also included is vehicle workshop health and safety; fabrication with tools and measuring equipment.
Progression from the Entry Level 3 Motor Vehicle course or at least two National 4 passes (or equivalent). The selection process includes an interview and an exercise demonstrating written and practical skills.
Method of Assessment
Online exams and practical observations.
Employment in the motor vehicle and mechanical fitting sectors. Modern Apprenticeship opportunities within these sectors are also available.
