Introduction to Social Sciences

Course Content

If you are curious about the world around you, how people think and act as individuals and as members of society, then this course is for you. This course introduces you to a wide range of social sciences subjects including psychology, sociology, history and geography. In this course, you will also develop skills that are essential for study and employment such as ICT and communications.

Successful group assessment/interview and satisfactory reference.

Method of Assessment

A range of assessment methods such as project work, course work, posters and presentations are used.

Future Prospects

Guaranteed interview for progression to Certificate in Social Science (Level 5) subject to satisfactory achievement of the full course, level of participation/performance, standard of submitted work, attendance and reference. Candidates with high level performance may be considered for Advanced Certificate Social Science or Social Science SWAP programmes.
