Introduction to Estate Skills
Course Content
This course offers hands on estate skills with practical and theory lessons covering: building maintenance skills; tree planting; drystone walling; machinery use; and tractor driving.
Entry Requirements
No formal entry requirements however, applicants must undergo an interview and be able to demonstrate the ability to work at SCQF level 4. Applicants must be willing to work outdoors in all weathers and work as part of a team on practical, physically demanding tasks.
Method of Assessment
The course is continually assessed throughout the year and is a mixture of theoretical and practical subjects.
Future Prospects
NC Horticulture Level 5 Horticulture, Agriculture, Landscaping, Estate Skills.
