This course is a progression from HNC Business: Management & Leadership/Marketing and PR/Business Administration. The HND takes the knowledge and skills gained at HNC level and applies these in a business context by looking at behaviours, cultures and strategies within these business functions. Learners will be introduced to new areas such as Business and Contractual Law, Financial Forecasting and Business Statistics and will develop their knowledge further in areas such as IT, Project Management, Economics, Business Culture and Business Strategy.
Successful completion of HNC Business (15 credits) and a reference from Group Tutor or Curriculum and Quality Leader. Selection will be based upon interview, core skills testing and a written piece of work.
Method of Assessment
This course may lead to university (with some universities offering direct entry in years 2 or 3) or to employment within a range of fields including assistant/management positions and assistant project managers.
