HNC Engineering Mechanical
This course is suitable for learners who wish to develop their skills and knowledge to progress their career within a range of engineering sectors including: aviation; defence; medical engineering; engineering management; manufacturing; and the automotive industry. Subjects covered include: Maths; Communications; Dynamics; Thermofluids; Computer Aided Draughting and Materials.
This course is suitable for applicants working in the engineering and energy industry as well as those seeking to enter it. Qualifications required are two Highers (or equivalent) at grade C or above in either Mathematics, Technology or Science, relevant NC/NQ course in an engineering discipline, Foundation Apprenticeship in Engineering or industrial experience. Other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis. Qualifications equivalent to above from an international educational body.
Method of Assessment
Submission of written reports, ongoing course assessment and a graded unit project.
Progression onto a higher-level engineering specific course and/or employment opportunities in the engineering/renewable/energy industries with the opportunity to study part-time up to degree level.
