HNC Business: Administration & IT
The aim of this course is to develop skills within various business functions but will also have a focus on Administration and IT. Learners will gain skills in key business areas that are valued by employers. Learners will study core units in the areas of: management of people, marketing, economics, accounting, IT, business communication. Learners will also study the Administration and IT option set which will focus on administration software applications. This course will provide the skills, knowledge and confidence required to start an academic journey to university, the workplace or HND Business. If entry requirements are met, then this course is suited to school leavers, mature applicants or progressing learners.
A minimum of two Higher passes (English is desirable) or successful attendance and completion of a relevant Advanced Certificate level course (may require a reference from group tutor). Applicants with relevant work experience will also be considered. Selection will be based upon interview, core skills testing and a written piece of work.
Method of Assessment
This course is a stepping-stone to HND Business, university or employment. Learners who wish to progress to HND Business are required to gain 15 credits at HNC Business and a satisfactory college reference.
