Course Content
The aim of this course is to develop a more in depth understanding of topics including: Planning and Sustainable Development; Events Industry; Practical Travel and Tourism Visits; Tour Operations; Marketing Planning; Influences on the Travel and Tourism Industry; Visitor Attractions.
Entry Requirements
Successful completion of HNC Travel and Tourism (15 credits) and satisfactory attendance and reference.
Method of Assessment
Each unit will be continually assessed through end of unit assessments or by the completion of course work. No end of course assessment or exam.
Future Prospects
Entry into the 2nd or 3rd year of a relevant degree course. Career opportunities include: airline and airport industry; retail and tour operations; cruise lines; national parks; visitor attractions; tourist organisations.
