HND Events Management
Course Content
This course will enable the learner to develop a wide range of competences, expand their knowledge and enhance the likely entry point to an event organisation. It will also allow the learner to enhance their understanding of the events industry from a managerial perspective and develop key transferable skills enabling them to investigate issues and problems. Areas of study include: Marketing Planning; Principles and Practice of Sustainable Development; Contemporary Issues and Influences; Conferences; Exhibition Planning; Project Management; Developing Skills for Business.
Entry Requirements
Successful completion of HNC Events (15 credits) and satisfactory attendance and reference.
Method of Assessment
Each unit will be continually assessed through end of unit assessments or by the completion of course work. No end of course assessment or exam.
Future Prospects
This course can lead to 3rd-year entry into many Scottish university courses; or careers including business events/business tourism, festivals/cultural events, outdoor events and party/wedding planning.
