HND Computer Science
Course Content
The HND Computer Science continues from the HNC Computing Course and will allow you to broaden your skills in computing related disciplines to prepare you for progression on to University or related work within the Computing Industry. You will gain further expertise in areas related to Software Development, Computer Networking, Web Design to include Mobile Devices, Relational Database Systems and Cyber Security. Delivery is on a full-time basis to include lectures, practical tutorials and self-study sessions.
Entry Requirements
To gain entry to HND Computer Science you will need to have completed an HNC in Computing or another related HNC and achieved 15 relevant SQA credits.
Method of Assessment
Internal unit assessments are continuous throughout the course with a final project at the end of the year.
Future Prospects
Pathway to relevant degree programmes possible, providing you have met the stipulated University entry requirements. Excellent prospects for a successful career in the Computing and Technology or Cyber Security sectors.
