HND Computer Games Development

Course Content

On this course you will extend the knowledge and skills gained in HNC Computer Games Development. You will learn about the creation, development and implementation of games. There will be a mix of practical and theory. You will further develop your programming skills and study areas such as Artificial Intelligence for Computer Games, Games Customisation and Scripting, Character Creation and Storytelling, 3D Level Editing and 3D Animation. You will create a show reel and portfolio of work for presentation to a potential employer, client or university. Delivery is on a full-time basis to include lectures, practical tutorials and self-study sessions.

Entry Requirements

Successful completion of all 15 Credits on the HNC Computer Games Development Course. Subject to interview selection process, plus suitable reference.

Method of Assessment

Internal unit assessments are continuous throughout the course with a final project at the end of the year.

Future Prospects

The college has strong articulation agreements with a number of universities into a range of degree programmes. This course will also provide students with the skills for employment.
