HND Civil Engineering
This course introduces the key knowledge and skills in Civil Engineering. Learners will explore designing, constructing and operating a wide range of infrastructure projects including major structures, geology, highways and water resources. This course will ensure that learners have the technical and management capability to contribute effectively in this environment. This course will enable learners to achieve professional body recognition in particular, but not exclusively, from the Chartered Institute of Building.
A National Certificate in Built Environment, PDA Certificate, relevant industrial experience or two Highers (or equivalent) at grade C or above, preferably in Maths and a Science.
Method of Assessment
Submission of written reports, ongoing course assessment and a graded unit project.
Progression onto HND Civil Engineering Year 2.
