HND Contemporary Dance Performance (Year 2)
Course Content
This intensive course reflects the ever-changing nature of contemporary dance innovation and incorporates these specialisms accordingly, including: contemporary and ballet techniques; body conditioning; choreography; teaching skills and many performance opportunities. Learners will be encouraged to explore choreographic collaborative projects which may result in a screen dance or staged performance. There will be opportunities to broaden creativity and hone individual interests and skills.
Entry Requirements
You require a 15-credit HNC (or equivalent) in Dance. Learners are selected through a practical recruitment workshop.
Method of Assessment
A combination of practical class work, performance and written assignments.
Future Prospects
Progression to the BA (Hons) Professional Dance Practice (Completion Award) degree programme offered at Dundee and Angus College.
