HND Contemporary Dance Performance - Year 2

Course Content

An intensive course designed to further the knowledge gained at HNC level. It aims to provide a unique experience, producing artists of a high calibre. Course content will reflect the ever-changing nature of contemporary dance innovation and incorporate these specialisms accordingly. This will include: Contemporary and ballet techniques; body conditioning; choreography; teaching skills and many performance opportunities. You will be encouraged to explore choreographic collaborative projects with other artists. This will aid the development of your craft and heighten and broaden your creativity. You will have opportunities to apply and hone your individual interest and skills, providing you with lots of choice.

Entry Requirements

An HNC (or equivalent) in Dance. Learners are selected through a practical audition and interview.

Method of Assessment

A combination of practical class work, performance and written assignments.

Future Prospects

Progression to the BA (Hons) Dance (Completion Award) degree programme offered at Dundee and Angus College.
