HND Animal Care
Course Content
This course builds on HNC Animal Care and explores a wider range of topics including: ecology; micro-biology; parasitology; and ethics. There is also a work placement element.
Entry Requirements
Prior completion of 15 HNC Animal Care credits. Acceptance will be based on performance and commitment on the HNC programme. Satisfactory references will be required.
Method of Assessment
This course is a mixture of written assessments, practical assessments, reports and an extensive project.
Future Prospects
3rd Year entry to life science degrees at University of Aberdeen. Self-employment, animal care assistants in vet practices, degree programmes (check entry requirements) e.g. veterinary nursing, welfare & zoology.
