Course Content
This course is suitable for learners who wish to develop their skills and knowledge to progress their career within a range of engineering sectors including: aviation; defence; medical engineering; engineering management; manufacturing; and the automotive industry. Subjects covered include: Maths; Communications; Dynamics; Thermofluids; Computer Aided Draughting and Materials.
Entry Requirements
Qualifications required are two Highers (or equivalent) at grade C or above in either English, Mathematics or Physics, relevant NC/NQ course in an engineering discipline, Foundation Apprenticeship in Engineering. Qualifications equivalent to above from an international educational body.
Method of Assessment
Submission of written reports, ongoing course assessment and a graded unit project.
Future Prospects
Progression onto a higher-level engineering specific course and/or employment opportunities in the engineering/renewable/energy industries with the opportunity to study part-time up to degree level.
