Course Content

This course provides the knowledge and skills required to pursue a career in construction management including site surveying, planning and building, measurement for computer-aided design and learning about the latest construction technologies. This course will enable learners to achieve professional body recognition in particular, but not exclusively, from the Chartered Institute of Building.

Entry Requirements

National Certificate in Built Environment, PDA certificate or one Higher (or equivalent) at grade C or above, preferably in Maths or Science. Applicants who do not meet these criteria, but have relevant industry-related experience, will be considered at the discretion of the Curriculum and Quality Leader.

Method of Assessment

Submission of written reports, ongoing course assessment and a graded unit project.

Future Prospects

Progress to HND Architectural Technology Year 2, HND Building Surveying Year 2 or a range of degree-level studies, in areas such as surveying, construction and project management.
