Course Content
The demand for strong business-minded graduates is high and we aim to give you the skills you will need to thrive in your chosen career. This course has recently been updated to be more relevant to the needs of industry and will teach you essential skills in business-related subject areas including management, marketing, accounting and economics.
Core subjects include: Business Fundamentals with Emergent Technologies; Marketing; Economic Issues; Accounting for Business; Managing People & Organisations; Business: Graded Unit 1; Communication: Business Communication; IT in Business: Spreadsheets; Personal Development Planning.
You can also choose from business specialist option sets such as: Leadership & Management; Human Resource Management; Information Technology (all gaining you an additional PDA qualification); Digital Marketing; Medical Administration.
Entry Requirements
A minimum of two Higher passes at Grade C or above (English is desirable) or successful attendance and completion of a relevant Advanced Certificate level 6 course (may require a reference). In addition, Communication at level 6 is desirable.
Applicants who do not meet the criteria but have relevant work/industry experience or alternative qualifications will be considered. Selection will be based on interview, core skills testing and a written piece of work.
Method of Assessment
Continuous assessment, both open and closed book, including the graded Unit exam.
