Covers many different areas including percentages, ratios, probability, areas and volumes, elementary algebra and trigonometry. Comprises four units, each with an internal assessment at the end.
Anyone keen to gain a basic understanding of mathematics.
Standard Grade Maths at 5 or above, a pass at Access 3 Maths or National 3 Lifeskills Maths, or Intermediate 1 Maths at grade D or above.
This level of mathematics is desirable for many different career paths, including some areas of engineering and social sciences. It can also be used as a potential progression path onto National 5 Mathematics.
There are 4 assessments during the year, where you would be required to attend college or an SQA approved centre.
