The Access to University Study course is aimed at individuals who have had a break in their formal education but are seeking a route to return to education at university level to undertake a wide range of degrees.
Have you been out of full-time, formal education for three years (or five years if you already have Higher or HN qualifications)? Do you want to undertake a course which offers progression for mature learners to study at university level? If yes to both, this course is designed to meet your needs.
Successful completion may lead to a range of progression routes into a variety of degrees at universities throughout Scotland. Historically, this has included Primary Education, Social Work, Community Learning and Development, Law, Criminology, Social Sciences and Humanities courses, Food and Health etc.
Open and closed book assessment for internal units plus a prelim and end exam per subject (if end exams are required for progression).
