A highly practical course which covers a range of subjects such as: Food Preparation, Bakery and Counter Service of Food and Beverage. Great emphasis is placed on personal and social development and this will be encouraged through integrated subjects such as: Communication; Computing Skills; Customer Care; Social Interaction and Team Work.
To have completed four years of secondary education. Must have an interest in hospitality and be able to provide a satisfactory reference. Students may be referred by guidance Learning Support teacher. Consideration will be given to pupils who have not reached their 16th birthday.
Progression onto Steps to Hospitality 2, or into employment.
Classroom-based short answer questions, participation in practical activities and observations.
