NC Acting and Performance (2018/19)

Course Content

This dynamic and engaging course allows students to develop their interest in theatre and performance in a highly-practical way. Areas of study include: Acting, Voice, Movement, Devising and working with text. Students will be offered a number of sharing and performance opportunities throughout the year, which provides an excellent grounding in acting and theatre-making. Additional opportunities include: workshops with theatre specialists, theatre trips and collaborative projects across art forms.

Target Audience

Candidates with an interest in acting, performance, theatre and community arts.

Entry Requirements

No set entry qualifications, selection is through observation of participation in a group workshop, individual performance of one monologue (devised or text) and an interview with one of our staff team.

Future Prospects

Students may go on to further study within the department at HNC or HND level or to further study in FE or HE.


Combination of practical classwork, performance and written assignments.
