SVQ Level 2 Professional Cookery Intensive (2018/19)
Candidates will complete a minimum of 30 units in total, starting with SVQ Level 2 units then completing further units to achieve the SVQ Level 3. As well as academic studies candidates will spend time in a local large hotel kitchen gaining hands-on experience in industry. Evening work is expected.
An acceptable catering qualification or relevant experience, plus a passion for cooking and the will to work hard over the course to successfully complete 2 levels in one year.
Prospects into employment, e.g., senior commis/assistant chefs, junior chef de partie or 3rd-4th year apprentice chef. Alternatively candidates may progress to HND Professional Cookery if they have a view to management prospects in the future.
