Diploma in Creative and Digital Media
This work-based qualification allows individuals to gain an industry-recognised qualification and develop the skills required to become a professional in a creative environment.
This course includes areas such as production, radio, social media/marketing communications, graphic design and video journalism. More specifically, it covers presenting ideas and information to others in the creative industries, working effectively with others, developing own professional practice, and working with digital media.
This diploma can also help employers to develop their workforce by training new staff, and upskilling existing employees. This qualification can be tailored to suit a vast range of job roles and you and your employer can choose what topics you want to learn and what fits around your job role. Entry to this course can be at any point throughout the year.
As per employer requirements or discussion with Course Leader. Consideration will also be given on an individual basis to those with relevant experience.
Method of Assessment
The candidates are assessed in the workplace by verified assessors from Dundee and Angus College and are provided with the support and learning materials needed to complete. Relevant skills classes are available at Gardyne Campus but attendance at college is optional and can be discussed with employer prior to start date.
Candidates can progress to other HN courses in the Computing and Creative Media Area or the Art/Design area. Possible continued employment or progression to a senior role with your employer. Prospect of employment within other creative, digital, and marketing sectors.
