Course Content

With Dundee on the map for the V&A, Eden Project and the upcoming E-Sports Arena, it has never been a better time to start your journey into Scotland’s growing tourism and events industry! The course content will give you an insight into the diverse roles within the events and tourism industries. Subjects include: Cabin Crew; Resort Representative; Sustainable Tourism and Events; Niche Tourism; Event Planning; Event Costing and Event Promotion. The course also includes trips to local and regional attractions and venues to enhance your learning.

Entry Requirements

A minimum of 4 National 4 qualifications. Consideration will also be given to applicants with other relevant qualifications or life/work experience. Applicants should have a desire to work towards a career within the Tourism or Events industry or progress towards Advanced Certificate in Tourism and Events. Applicants will undertake an interview and task to assess suitability for the course.

Method of Assessment

Units will be continually assessed through end of unit assessments or by the completion of projects/course work. No end of course assessment or exam.

Future Prospects

Successful completion of the course and satisfactory reference can lead to progression to Advanced Certificate in Tourism and Events or employment within the sector.
