Course Content

The advanced level course will further develop your skills and knowledge in the Tourism and Events industries and prepare you for employment or progression onto our popular HNC in Travel and Tourism or HNC Events course. You will gain knowledge of popular European and World destinations as you explore beach, cruise, city and winter sports holidays. Course content includes Venue Visits, UK Trips, Planning and Implementing an Event; Digital Marketing; Event Industry Sectors and Event Themes and Styling.

Entry Requirements

A minimum of 4 National 5 qualifications or completion of a relevant Certificate level course. Consideration will also be given to applicants with other relevant qualifications or life/work experience. Applicants should have a desire to work towards a career within the Tourism or Events industry or progress towards HNC in Travel and Tourism or HNC Events. Applicants will undertake an interview and task to assess suitability for the course.

Method of Assessment

Units will be continually assessed through end of unit assessments or by the completion of projects/course work. No end of course assessment or exam.

Future Prospects

Successful completion of the course and satisfactory reference can lead to progression to HNC in Travel and Tourism or HNC Events or employment within the industry.
