Pathways to Childcare
The aim of this course is to ensure learners gain the knowledge, skills and attributes required to work as a highly-trained practitioner, who will play a key role in ensuring that children and young people learn and develop well and are kept healthy and safe.
This course runs on a full-time basis for 16 weeks at college. During this time you will experience how an everyday practitioner carries out their role in caring for children by having hands-on practical experience as well as a portfolio of written work to support your practical learning.
There are no formal entry requirements.
Successful completion, and satisfactory reference, may allow progression to HNC level courses, a Modern Apprenticeship or employment.
